Governor Greitens Praises Clean Water Commission's Decision

Statement

Date: Dec. 14, 2017
Issues: Environment

Governor Eric Greitens praised Missouri's Clean Water Commission for voting to open new farms in Missouri.

"My philosophy is simple: let farmers farm. We need more farms, more jobs, and less government. Our farmers and ranchers have dealt with government interference for too long. Those days are over. We're getting government out of the way so that Missourians can create more jobs," said Governor Eric Greitens

The Commission's decision grants permits to RNR Farms in McDonald County and Trenton Farms in Grundy County for new hog and chicken operations.

"This is a great move by the Governor's appointees. It's encouraging to see leaders who care about Missouri's farmers and ranchers and are willing to fight for them," said Don Nikodim, Executive Director, Missouri Pork Association.
